(Matt.28:19) NBC is a missionary training college dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals who are called to full-time national and international ministries. NBC believes that the Lord’s return is imminent. We want to be a dynamic force in these last days, strategically sending teams called to reach those who have never heard the Gospel. Our desire is to see the glory of God known throughout all the earth by reaching out the lost and launching church planting movements among unreached people groups. |

From the desk of the Principal
In October 1997, during the first semester break of my first year at “International Training Center,” I was the only student permitted to go home for fifteen days. When I reached my home of Dimapur, Nagaland, to my surprise, I found everything upside-down. I saw people holding gun and everyone was tense. From early in the morning until late at night, I heard the sounds of gun. Everyone in every family was worried. What will happen to you and me? No one could predict it. Brother against brother, searching for and trying to kill one another. It could happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. The situation grew worse and worse, day by day, in the only Christian state of India.
The Lord Jesus Christ poured out a burden upon me as the anointing of the Holy Spirit came over me. It was so bitter that I wept tears continually for three days and nights. I couldn’t control the pain. Therefore, I cried out loudly before God in my private room. Oh! It was great pain like I had never before experienced in the Lord. Even today, a sentence that reminds me and keeps me fresh is, “The pain cannot be removed until and unless there is a change in our Naga society.” I praise God for instilling in me a burning passion for the perishing souls.
As I continue to grow in the Lord, I also grow in wisdom, knowledge, understanding, love for people, and forgiving others. The burden to train up children and youth with co-education began in full swing in January 2001 under the banner of “Gospel Team Ministry.” I believe through this there will be changes in our society and beyond.
This time, I was not alone. With my family, I reached “The Good Shepherd World Prayer Center” at Tiruchirapalli (Trichy) in Tamil Nadu, South India, where I was appointed as Lecturer in “Nehemiah Bible Institute” on 14 August 2004. This institution offered B.Th. and M.Div. program under a God-gifted man, Pr. Gideon Jacob. Through him and his ministries, God allowed me to teach in the area of church management and transference of the ways of truthfulness from oneself into another life. I personally believe this was a period of maturity, both physically and spiritually, for my family to be used by God in His field.
The battle between worldly pleasure and the spiritual life began in our personal relationship with God, which almost affected our family’s relationship in the Lord. But we overcame the battle because our mind and heart were in the Lord. To date, the Lord is faithful to His word and the promises He made to us, continuing to fulfill them in our daily lives. Thus, Nehemiah Bible College came into existence in 2009.
